Dog parks are not just for dogs. They are for people who love dogs.

Dog Park Rules

Please find below the Proposed Rules for the City of Roanoke's off-leash area public dog park: 

Enter and use the dog park at your own risk.  The City of Roanoke is not responsible for any damages, injuries, or lost items.  Your presence in the Off Leash Area constitutes your agreement to all park rules.  Any infraction of the posted rules can result in loss of Off Leash Area priveleges. 

1. All dogs must be supervised at all times.

2. All dogs must have a collar (no pinch or) with a current license tag at all times.

3. If signs of aggression occur, the dogs must be leashed and removed immediately.

4.  Dog(s) or owner(s) that show aggressive behaviors are not permitted in the Off Leash Area.

5.  Dogs entering the Off Leash Area cannot have any contagious conditions.

6.  All dogs must be at least 12 weeks of age and current on all vaccinations.

7.  Each person using the park is limited to a maximum of 3 dogs at one time.

8.  Users of the Off Leash Area must comply with City Codes:

  • Immediate removal of all dog feces
  • All dogs over 4 months must have a current City of Roanoke License
  • Immediate filling of any holes created by your dog
  • All dogs must be current on vaccinations

9.  Any person entering the Off Leash Area with a dog must be over the age of 18 or accompanied by an adult.  No children under the age of 6 will be allowed.

10.  NO food or drinks are permitted inside the fence.

11.  All dogs myst be leashed entering and leaving the Off Leash Area.
